My name is Barbara Jones and I live in McKinney, TX. I have a diverse photography background which I love. I earned a degree in film, but have been using digital almost exclusively for the past three years. I still like to get out my Holga, but I really like the instant gratification of my pocket Nikon. I've worked at two major photo studios, with one I was a store manager for a year, then I left to open my own business.
I have been very happily married since 1999, and I have two dogs. My husband and I moved to the Dallas area in 2000, and we just bought our first home a year ago. God has given me so many blessings, it is wonderful!
I also teach at a local church preschool, and I absolutely love that! The children are so sweet, and the enviornment is so loving there. I hope to work there forever!
Probably my favorite things to take pictures of are my dogs and broken down buildings. I don't know why, they just interest me so much!
I love traveling and I try to do it as often as I can afford to. I think my absolute favorite town to visit (and photograph) is New Orleans.
Right now I am working on a book called "Where I See God". I am going to donate ALL of the money I recieve to an orphanage in Kenya. My friend Tony goes there often and helps these kids have a place to get educated, learn about God, and have food on the table. This requires a lot of money, and I hope that my book can help them. I purposefully did not put pictures from my book on this website, because I wanted to keep them especially for that, but I feel that it has my best work. I will update this page when the book is available to purchase. Right now we are in the process of getting all our paper work for the non-profit side of it all. Thanks for your interest in this, I really appreciate it.
